Overview

  • The BMC received three bids from Navayuga Engineering Company, H G Infra Engineering and Re Sustainability to treat 185 lakh tonnes of legacy waste at the Deonar dumpsite.
  • Submissions are under technical scrutiny by the civic body ahead of financial bids opening on July 11 to identify the lowest technically qualified bidder.
  • The successful contractor will execute a three-year bioremediation plan to clear mounds of untreated waste and reclaim 110 hectares for housing under the Adani-led Dharavi Redevelopment Project.
  • All participating firms have prior project partnerships with the Adani Group, reflecting their roles in major infrastructure and waste management ventures.
  • Re Sustainability is developing a parallel waste-to-energy plant at Deonar, set to process 600 tonnes daily and generate 7 MW of electricity by October 2025.
