Overview
- B&M listed the Solar XL 'Squirrels in a Tree' on Wednesday, May 27, describing the 42cm statue as solar-powered and fully automatic so it lights at dusk without wiring.
- The ornament is priced at £20 and B&M says home delivery is not available, so shoppers must pick it up in store and are advised to check local stock before visiting.
- B&M is also selling a £20 Solar Powered Lion Head that the retailer markets as a daytime decoration that doubles as an evening patio feature thanks to its built-in solar light.
- The launch is part of a wider high-street push for low-cost, novelty garden décor that pairs daytime ornaments with integrated solar lighting to brighten outdoor spaces after dark.
- Affordable pieces like these are designed to drive impulse visits to stores and give shoppers an easy, wiring-free way to add character and soft evening light to patios and borders.
