  • Kristian Blummenfelt defended his European Championship crown in Frankfurt, shaving about 90 seconds off the previous course record to finish in 7:25:57.

  • Jonas Schomburg was forced to abandon the race after his bike’s handlebar broke in what officials described as a “dangerous situation.”
  • Race conditions peaked at 33°C, imposing severe heat stress on more than 3,000 competitors and drawing hundreds of thousands of spectators along the 3.86 km swim, 180.2 km bike and 42.195 km run route.
  • Denmark’s Kristian Hogenhaug and Norway’s Casper Stornes completed the podium in second and third respectively, while Germany’s Jonas Hoffmann led the home contingent with a fifth-place finish.
