Overview

  • St. Louis said Lucic was cleared from the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program and reinstated by the league, enabling the tryout.
  • Lucic will attend Blues training camp on a professional tryout as he attempts an NHL return after nearly two years out.
  • He last appeared for the Bruins on Oct. 21, 2023 and had been sidelined by an ankle injury before taking an indefinite leave.
  • Lucic went on leave following a November 2023 arrest; prosecutors dropped charges in February 2024 when his wife declined to testify, and he was not suspended by the NHL.
  • The 2011 Stanley Cup winner has 1,177 NHL games with 233 goals and 586 points, and reports suggest he is competing for a depth role with uncertainty about accepting an AHL assignment.
