Blue Origin Resets New Glenn’s Second Launch for Nov. 12 After Weather Scrub

Blue Origin reset the attempt following a weather scrub under FAA airspace limits.

Overview

  • The next launch window is Wednesday, Nov. 12, from 2:50 p.m. to 4:17 p.m. ET (19:50–21:17 UTC), confirmed after coordination with the FAA.
  • Sunday’s attempt was scrubbed due to rain, a ground-system issue, violations of the cumulus-cloud rule, and a cruise ship entering the flight path.
  • The mission will send NASA’s twin ESCAPADE spacecraft on a trajectory that includes a loiter near the Earth–Sun L2 point before heading to Mars for a 2027 science campaign.
  • Blue Origin plans another bid to recover the New Glenn first-stage on the ship Jacklyn after the booster was lost during descent on the January inaugural flight.
  • New Glenn is also carrying a Viasat technology demonstrator under a NASA communications project, as FAA daytime launch limits during the government shutdown add scheduling pressure.
