MRI showed no damage and Gausman is considered day-to-day.
Chris Bassitt started in Gausman's place against the Minnesota Twins.
Gausman has 7-5 record with 3.03 ERA in 19 starts this season.
Bassitt has 8-5 record with 4.19 ERA in 19 starts after signing with Blue Jays last offseason.
