- A rehearsal planned for Sept. 12 was also canceled due to poor weather.
- The display had been arranged to coincide with the opening of the World Athletics Championships.
- Plans called for a start around 12:25 with about 10 minutes over the National Stadium followed by a roughly 15-minute clockwise circuit.
- The published route would have included Tokyo Skytree, Tokyo Station, Tokyo Tower, Yoyogi Park and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, and it would have been the first Tokyo flight since the 2021 Olympics.
