• The mislabeling omits tree nuts—almonds, walnuts and pecans—that could trigger severe reactions for allergic consumers.
• Shipments went to retail outlets in Alabama, Arkansas, the Florida Panhandle, northwest Georgia, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and southwest Virginia.
• The product was produced at Blue Bell’s Brenham, Texas plant and the issue was spotted by a worker restocking a store.
• No illnesses have been reported; customers should return affected items for a refund, and the FDA has been notified.
