Blockbuster Tamil Film 'Amaran' to Stream on Netflix Starting December 5

The Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi starrer, based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, has grossed over ₹320 crore at the box office.

Amaran, a Tamil-language biographical drama, will debut on Netflix on December 5 after a successful five-week theatrical run.
The film is based on the real-life story of Major Mukund Varadarajan, an Ashok Chakra awardee, and his wife, Indu Rebecca Varghese.
Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy and produced by Kamal Haasan, Amaran stars Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi in lead roles, with a supporting cast including Rahul Bose and Bhuvan Arora.
The movie has earned over ₹320 crore globally, making it one of the biggest Tamil blockbusters of 2024, and continues to perform well in theatres.
Sivakarthikeyan was recently honored by the Officers Training Academy in Chennai for his portrayal of Major Mukund, highlighting the film's connection to the Indian Army.
