Blizzard Conditions and Ice Storms Disrupt Travel in Central U.S.

Blizzard conditions and ice storms have been pummeling the central U.S., causing hundreds of airport delays and cancellations, and making travel difficult to impossible in some areas.
States affected include North Dakota, South Dakota, Colorado, Minnesota, Nebraska, Wyoming, and parts of Kansas.
Blizzard warnings were in effect for western portions of South Dakota, Nebraska and Kansas, along with eastern portions of Colorado and Wyoming.
Visibility has been reduced to near zero in some areas due to heavy snow and high winds.
One person was killed and three others were injured in Kansas when a pickup truck lost control on snow and ice.
