Blizzard Beach to Close Sept. 8 With No Reopening Date, Ending Rare Two-Water-Park Summer
The move restores Disney’s pandemic-era rotation of operating a single water park.
Overview
- Guests have only today and Sept. 7 to visit Blizzard Beach before the shutdown.
- Typhoon Lagoon will operate as Walt Disney World’s sole water park through the fall.
- Both water parks ran concurrently from May 21 to Sept. 7, the first overlap since 2019.
- Signature attractions going offline include Summit Plummet, Toboggan Racers, Melt-Away Bay, and Tike’s Peak.
- In 2025, Resort hotel guests, Disney Vacation Club Members, Annual Passholders, and cast members received complimentary water-park admission on their check-in day as previously announced.
