Blizzard and NetEase Renew Partnership, Bringing Blizzard Games Back to China

Blizzard Entertainment and Chinese publisher NetEase have reportedly renewed their partnership, which will allow Blizzard's games to return to China.
The previous agreement between the two companies collapsed in January 2023, leaving Chinese players without access to popular Blizzard titles such as Diablo 3, Overwatch, and World of Warcraft.
Blizzard's games, including the newly released Diablo 4, will be legally accessible in China once the new deal is finalized, which may take up to six months.
The renewal of the partnership comes after Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Blizzard's parent company.
Blizzard's return to China is expected to boost player counts for its games, including the upcoming Overwatch 2 and the popular Diablo series.
