Blink-182's Mark Hoppus to Auction Rare Banksy Painting for Charity

The artwork, valued up to $6.3 million, will benefit wildfire victims and medical charities in Los Angeles.

Mark Hoppus of Blink-182 is auctioning Banksy's 2005 artwork 'Crude Oil (Vettriano)' at Sotheby’s London on March 4.
The painting, a satirical reimagining of Jack Vettriano's 'The Singing Butler,' critiques environmental destruction and capitalism.
Hoppus acquired the piece in 2011, and it has been a cherished part of his family’s homes in London and Los Angeles.
Proceeds from the sale will support the California Fire Foundation, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and Cedars Sinai Hematology Oncology Research.
The artwork is on display at Sotheby’s New York until February 20 and will be exhibited in London from February 26 until the auction date.
