BLG Kardesler GmbH Recalls SUNTAT Mohnpaste Over Undeclared Sesame and Peanut Allergens

Consumers allergic to sesame or peanuts are urged to return specific Mohnpaste batches for a full refund.

  • BLG Kardesler GmbH announced on August 5 that several 300-gram jars of SUNTAT Mohnpaste contain undeclared sesame and peanut allergens and are being recalled.
  • The recall targets batches E24A0571, E24A3251, E25A0321 and E24A0411 with best-before dates of 02.2026, 11.2026 and 02.2027.
  • The product was sold in eleven German states, including Baden-Württemberg, Bayern, Berlin, Hamburg and Nordrhein-Westfalen.
  • Consumers with sesame or peanut allergies should dispose of or return the affected jars to retailers for a full refund without a receipt.
  • The Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung warns that undeclared allergens can cause severe reactions, including anaphylactic shock, while non-allergic individuals may continue using unaffected batches safely.
