Bleach Final Two Episodes Delayed Until October
The production committee says the pause will give staff time to polish complex climax animation while shifting broadcast and streaming into October.
Overview
- Hours after Episode 48 aired on Saturday, September 12, the series' official account announced Episodes 49 and 50 would be postponed so staff can “enhance quality toward the climax.”
- Episode 49 is now scheduled to air in Japan around October 19/20 JST and Episode 50 around October 26/27 JST, with corresponding streaming windows on Hulu, Disney+ and regional platforms pushed into those weeks.
- TV Tokyo will fill the vacant weekly slot with a four‑episode “Climax Selection” recap run of Episodes 7, 28, 46 and 48 on Sept. 19, Sept. 26, Oct. 5 and Oct. 12 to refresh viewers ahead of the rescheduled finales.
- The committee cited the need to finish complex fight animation and final edits rather than rush the ending, a decision framed as quality control after earlier scheduling and subtitling issues during the final cour.
- The two postponed installments are the last of Bleach: Thousand‑Year Blood War and their October broadcast will mark the end of the anime adaptation that relaunched the final arc in 2022.
