Bleach Final Two Episodes Delayed to Late October

The production committee says it has pushed the last installments to buy time to boost animation and deliver a higher-quality climax.

Overview

  • The anime’s official account announced the delay on Saturday, and Episodes 49 and 50 will now air in Japan at 24:00 JST on October 19 and October 26, which effectively means the broadcasts occur on October 20 and October 27.
  • The committee said it changed broadcast and streaming dates to "enhance quality toward the climax" and apologized to fans while staff complete final production work.
  • TV Tokyo will fill the usual broadcast slot with a "Thousand-Year Blood War Arc Climax" selection that re-airs key episodes 7, 28, 46 and 48 ahead of the finale.
  • The schedule shift will change international streaming windows and subtitle rollouts, with platforms such as Hulu/Hulu on Disney+ affected and regional services like JioCinema/JioHotstar set to show the episodes at roughly 8:30 PM IST on the new dates.
  • The delay comes as the fourth cour — The Calamity — wraps the long-running adaptation that began in 2022, a process driven in part by creator Tite Kubo’s new storyboards and design input aimed at reshaping the anime’s ending.
