- The Game Kitchen announced and quietly released The Third Sin during the Future Games Show on Saturday, delivering the expansion as a free download for owners of Blasphemous 2.
- The Third Sin adds a large gothic castle region set in Cvstodia that the studio says equals about one quarter of the combined Blasphemous 2 and Mea Culpa maps.
- New gameplay content includes a blade‑tipped whip with fresh attacks, three Familiars that assist in combat and exploration, one new boss, a boss gallery for replaying fights, new prayers and unlockable outfits.
- The update is live on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store) and Nintendo Switch as a free patch and also brings six new music tracks by Carlos Viola and five new achievements.
- A long list of bug fixes targets progression blockers and softlocks, UI and HUD visibility problems, New Game+ inconsistencies and several specific glitches so players should see improved stability and fewer blocked saves.
