Scottsdale duo secures victory over Tennessee teens with decisive birdie on final hole

Brian Blanchard and Sam Engel, both from Scottsdale, Arizona, won the championship at Philadelphia Cricket Club's Wissahickon Course.
The pair defeated Tennessee's Blades Brown and Jackson Herrington by a margin of 2 up.
Blanchard and Engel earned exemptions into several future USGA events, including the U.S. Amateur and U.S. Mid-Amateur.
Brown and Herrington, despite a strong showing, fell short on the 18th hole, missing a chance to extend the match.
Engel made history as the first left-hander to win the event, and the duo's names will be added to the USGA Hall of Champions.
