Overview
- Blackstone committed $250 million to create Advanced Digital Gaming Technology in Abu Dhabi with partners Raya Holding, NRT Technology and Sightline Payments.
- ADGT will build payment processing and regulatory compliance systems for licensed digital markets, starting with commercial gaming in the UAE and expanding to parts of the Middle East and Africa.
- Blackstone said ADGT is already licensed in the UAE and is the only provider allowed to contract with both land-based venues and online gaming platforms.
- The National characterized the deal as one of the first sizable commitments into the UAE since the Iran war shook investor confidence, pointing to ongoing inflows despite near-term risks.
- The investment extends Blackstone’s regional push after its Glide logistics venture with Lunate in October and a joint $525 million stake in Property Finder with Permira in September.
