Blackhawks opt against naming new captain after Toews' departure

The Blackhawks will not have a captain for the 2022-23 season.
This decision comes after Jonathan Toews served as captain from 2008 until last season.
The team wants to allow new leaders to emerge without pressure of the captaincy.
Alternate captains will be in place while the young roster develops.
The Blackhawks will reassess naming a new captain after this season.
