Blackburn and Tenney Push DOGE Acts to Slash Federal Spending and Restructure Workforce

Legislation aims to cut costs, reduce federal workforce, relocate agencies, and limit telework under Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency.

Sen. Marsha Blackburn and Rep. Claudia Tenney introduced the DOGE Acts, a legislative package targeting federal spending and workforce reforms.

The SHOW UP Act seeks to scale back federal telework to pre-pandemic levels and requires agencies to submit telework plans to Congress for approval.
Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, tapped to lead the Department of Government Efficiency, have outlined ambitious goals, including a 75% workforce reduction and $2 trillion in spending cuts.
The legislation also includes performance-based pay initiatives and exemptions for national security, public safety, and health-related federal roles.
