Black Ops 7 Early-Access Beta Hits Access Snags as Cheaters Emerge Within Hours

Treyarch says the test is meant to surface issues and exploits ahead of fuller Ricochet anti-cheat at the November 14 launch.

Overview

  • Early access began October 2 for preorders, qualifying Game Pass members, and code holders, with the open beta set to start October 5 across PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and Battle.net.
  • Many players report a launch error reading “You don’t have access to the content,” with community workarounds including joining a friend’s lobby or restarting the client, and some storefront beta branches failed to appear for Steam and Battle.net users.
  • Clips shared within hours of go-live show aimbots and wallhacks in matches despite Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 requirements on PC, and Activision says accounts shown in some posts have been banned.
  • Activision states Ricochet protections are being dynamically scaled during the beta, with upgraded detection rolling out at full release, and it encourages testing to identify and address exploits.
  • Treyarch says it is closely monitoring feedback and has already adjusted perk distribution for movement abilities, while beta maps, modes, and rewards unlocked now will carry into the final game.
