Black Ops 6 Introduces Console-Only Crossplay Options to Combat Cheating

The Season 2 update adds new matchmaking settings for Ranked Play, offering console players more control over cross-platform play.

Activision's Black Ops 6 now allows console players to disable crossplay with PC users in Ranked Play as part of the Season 2 update.
Three crossplay options are available: 'On' (all platforms), 'Consoles Only' (PlayStation and Xbox), and 'Off' (same platform only).
The feature aims to address widespread cheating, which is more prevalent on PC, but may result in longer matchmaking times.
The crossplay restriction is currently limited to Ranked Play and does not extend to other game modes or PC users themselves.
Activision has also announced upcoming updates to its Ricochet anti-cheat system to further combat cheating across all platforms.
