Overview
- Thelma Louise, a Black conservative TikTok creator, says she was escorted out of a Ken Paxton rally in San Antonio on Sunday after someone told her Paxton’s campaign manager wanted her removed.
- Louise recorded video of her removal that she posted to social media and showed press credentials from recent Republican events, and third parties have verified her prior attendance at GOP gatherings.
- Multiple outlets have reported her account and footage, while Paxton’s campaign has not issued a public comment or explanation for the ejection.
- The episode has prompted online debate about whether race played a role in the decision and highlighted how social-media influencers can rapidly shape campaign narratives.
- The incident lands in a closely contested Senate race against Democrat James Talarico and could create political and public-relations headaches for Paxton as campaigns vie for undecided voters.
