Wholesale Club to Raise Membership Fees for First Time in Seven Years

The fee increase, effective January 2025, follows a similar move by Costco and aims to enhance member value and support growth initiatives.

BJ’s Wholesale will increase its basic membership fee to $60 and its premium Club+ membership to $120 starting January 1, 2025.
This marks the first membership fee hike in seven years, with the additional revenue intended to fund delivery services, store staffing, and overall member benefits.
The premium Club+ membership will include two free same-day deliveries annually on orders of $50 or more, starting next year.
BJ’s reported strong financial performance in Q3 2024, with membership income up 8% year-over-year and net income rising nearly 20%.
The move follows Costco’s membership fee increase in September, while Sam’s Club has not announced any plans to raise its fees at this time.
