- Opposition leaders challenged a discrepancy between a previous figure of 34,980 jobs and the chief minister’s 15 August claim of 23,191, alleging the House was misled.
- Officials later said the 34,980 figure covered government and private placements, whereas 23,191 referred only to government jobs.
- Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu detailed 5,960 posts created and 1,783 dormant posts abolished, with 7,000 hires in Education, 5,000 pump operators, 1,100 nurses and 2,000 Van Mitras.
