- Results for the Dakshina Kannada town panchayats held on December 21 were declared on December 24, with the BJP securing majorities in Kinnigoli (10 of 18 seats) and Bajpe (11 of 19).
- Bajpe’s final tally was BJP 11, Congress 4, SDPI 3, and one independent, with several wards decided by razor-thin margins including one- and five-vote victories.
- Deccan Chronicle reported additional gains for the BJP in Uttara Kannada’s Manki Town Panchayat (12 of 20 seats) and Bengaluru Rural’s Bashettihalli Town Panchayat (15 of 19).
- The party also won ward-level by-elections in Bengaluru Rural’s Doddaballapur municipal Ward 21 and Raichur district’s Turvihal Town Panchayat Ward 4.
