BJP MLA Harish Shakya and 16 Others Accused of Gang Rape and Fraud in Uttar Pradesh

An FIR has been filed against BJP MLA Harish Shakya, his brother, nephew, and several businessmen following a court order in Uttar Pradesh's Badaun district.
The allegations include gang rape, fraud involving crores of rupees, and threatening victims to coerce land sales at undervalued prices.
The complainant claims the MLA and two aides gang raped his wife at the MLA's camp office on September 17 after the family resisted selling their land.
The MLA and his associates are also accused of illegally acquiring portions of the complainant's land and implicating him in false cases.
Police are investigating the case under the leadership of Inspector Manoj Kumar Singh, while the BJP and the MLA have not yet commented on the allegations.
