The incident occurred on February 14, 2025, at a pre-wedding event in Umbarde village, leading to widespread criticism after the video went viral on social media.
Police have filed an FIR against Lokhande under the Arms Act and other legal provisions, citing the inappropriate public display of a firearm and violation of his license terms.
Lokhande's brother, Sharad Lokhande, was also seen displaying a firearm, which police have determined was unlicensed; both weapons have been seized for further investigation.
Authorities have summoned the Lokhande brothers for questioning and initiated proceedings to revoke Chintaman Lokhande's firearm license.
