Overview
- Madhya Pradesh Police seized contraband worth about Rs 5 crore on Sept. 13 in Agar Malwa after a tip-off near Ganesh Gaushala, in what the SP called the district’s biggest narcotics seizure to date.
- The haul included 9.25 kg of ketamine, 12.10 kg of ammonium chloride, 35 litres of isopropyl alcohol, 6 gm of MD, and laboratory equipment such as a vacuum oven and magnetic stirrer.
- Two men, Ishwar Malviya, 33, and Daulat Singh Anjana, 35, were arrested, while Rahul Aanjna, 30, fled; two cars were impounded and an NDPS case was registered under Sections 8 and 22.
- BJP removed Rahul Aanjna from the post of vice president of its Tanodiya Mandal unit in Agar Malwa, with district leaders citing alleged involvement in serious criminal activities.
- SP Vinod Kumar Singh said teams are searching for Rahul Aanjna across Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan; sources reported police may arrest him soon and that associates described a supply network spanning Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Delhi, and Punjab.
