Overview
- The memorandum of understanding was formalized on June 5 at USC’s Olin Hall of Engineering by BITS Pilani Group Vice Chancellor Prof. Ramgopal Rao and USC Viterbi Dean Yannis C. Yortsos.
- Joint research initiatives will focus on artificial intelligence, data science, quantum computing and sustainable engineering.
- An integrated BE-MS pathway will allow BITS Pilani undergraduates to begin USC master’s coursework after three years of their bachelor’s program.
- A short-term exchange will bring USC students to Pilani for two weeks of academic sessions and cultural immersion, complemented by reciprocal faculty visits and joint seminars.
- Implementation of the dual-degree tracks and student and faculty exchange programs is slated to begin with the next academic cycle.
