BitcoinOS Raises $10 Million to Scale ZK-Powered Bitcoin Infrastructure

Greenfield Capital led the round to back BOS’s push for Bitcoin programmability via zero-knowledge proofs without changing the base protocol.

Overview

  • BOS said the capital will expand institutional finance tools and developer protocols focused on Bitcoin-based applications.
  • The company previously verified a zero-knowledge proof on Bitcoin mainnet, which investors described as enabling programmability without a base-layer change.
  • Grail Pro, a BTC yield protocol, is in a pilot with custodians that the company says targets unlocking $690 million of institutional bitcoin.
  • Investors include FalconX, DNA Fund, Bitcoin Frontier Fund, Trust Machines, UTXO Management, LR Ventures, Silvermine Capital, MMW 2020 Trust, and angels such as Paul Taylor and Leeor Groen.
  • BOS also claims an industry-first bridgeless cross-chain transfer, integrations with Ethereum, Cardano and Litecoin, and the launch of Charms for programmable tokens using zk-proofs.
