Bissell Recalls Over 150,000 Vacuums Due to Fire Hazard

- The recall affects models sold between August 2016 and December 2022 at major retailers including Lowe's, Macy's, Kohl's, Target, and Best Buy, as well as online.
- There have been 17 reports of the recalled vacuum cleaners smoking and emitting a burning odor, with six incidents resulting in the battery pack catching fire.
- Three of the fire incidents resulted in minor property damage, and two caused minor burn injuries.
- Consumers are urged to stop using the recalled vacuums immediately, deplete the battery charge as instructed by Bissell, and contact the company for a free replacement vacuum.
