The recall covers models sold between August 2016 and December 2022, following reports of battery packs overheating.

  • Bissell has recalled over 150,000 Multi Reach Hand and Floor Vacuum Cleaners in the U.S. and Canada due to a fire hazard caused by overheating lithium-ion battery packs.
  • The recall affects models sold between August 2016 and December 2022 at major retailers including Lowe's, Macy's, Kohl's, Target, and Best Buy, as well as online.
  • There have been 17 reports of the recalled vacuum cleaners smoking and emitting a burning odor, with six incidents resulting in the battery pack catching fire.
