  • Thousands of worshippers are expected to attend the Friday, June 6 gathering, mirroring earlier Eid al-Fitr crowds in Birmingham.
  • Green Lane Masjid and Community Centre will host the prayers at Small Heath Park based on Saudi moon-sighting dates, offering free parking at nearby Morrisons to ease access.
  • Five hourly prayer sessions will run from 6am to 10am to accommodate large numbers and relocate indoors if weather turns.
  • After prayers, participants will perform Qurbani by slaughtering livestock including sheep and goats, sharing meat with family and the needy.
  • Eid al-Adha marks the culmination of the Hajj pilgrimage and commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s faith in the face of divine sacrifice.
