Overview
- The Renapo module at Calle Londres 102 in Colonia Juárez, CDMX, is now open for biometric enrollment Monday – Friday from 8:30 to 14:30.
- Starting October 16, four modules in Toluca, Villa Guerrero, Texcoco and Tlalnepantla will capture facial photos, ten fingerprints, iris scans and electronic signatures at no cost.
- Applicants must present a recent birth certificate, valid photo ID, proof of address, existing CURP and email, with online booking via the Renapo portal or digital enrollment through Llave MX where prior biometrics exist.
- Parents or tutors are required to hold a biometric CURP before minors can be registered, and children under five will only receive a facial photograph.
- Officials highlight QR-based access controls and non-printable biometric data, but privacy advocates warn of centralized data risks and limited independent oversight.
