Overview
- In Culiacán and Cosalá, Sinaloa, authorities disabled 13 precursor concentration sites and seized 16,665 liters of meth-making chemicals valued at about 337 million pesos, according to Mexico’s Security Cabinet.
- Mexico’s Operación Frontera Norte, launched Feb. 5 with a 10,000-strong Army and National Guard deployment under the Sheinbaum–Trump accord, reports more than 9,000 detentions and large cumulative seizures of weapons, vehicles and drugs.
- At Laredo’s Colombia–Solidarity Bridge, CBP found 40 packages containing about 291 pounds of suspected meth hidden in a battery shipment, worth an estimated $2.604 million; HSI is investigating.

- Federal officials in Colorado announced a two-year probe that seized over 500 kilograms of meth and charged 15 people, with most drugs found in boxes of chayote imported from Mexico and alleged links to the Sinaloa and Jalisco cartels.
