Overview
- Binance said in mid-October 2026 that bStocks surpassed $1 billion in assets under management and that users have converted more than $6 billion between tokenized tokens and the underlying U.S. shares.
- bStocks are BEP-20 tokens issued by Binance affiliate BTech Holdings that Binance says are backed 1:1 by U.S. shares held with regulated custodians and can be converted to the underlying shares with no conversion fee.
- The product offers 24/7 trading, fractional entry from about $5, transfers to compatible BNB Chain wallets for self-custody, and the ability to use tokens as collateral on Binance accounts.
- Since launching on June 11, 2026, Binance expanded bStocks from five listings to roughly 95–100 securities, hit $100 million AUM within 15 days, and reported over $40 billion in cumulative trading driven largely by non-U.S. retail trading outside U.S. market hours.
- bStocks are offered under an ADGM-approved prospectus and are not available to U.S. persons; holders do not receive dividends, voting rights, or shareholder privileges, which raises liquidity, custody, price-tracking, and cross-jurisdiction oversight questions as tokenized equities scale.
