Binance Lists Hyperliquid’s HYPE for Spot Trading With Seed Tag
The move broadens centralized liquidity for HYPE while putting Binance’s recurring risk quiz in front of traders to flag higher volatility.
Overview
- Binance opened HYPE spot markets on Thursday, Sept. 24 at 11:00 UTC with three pairs: HYPE/USDT, HYPE/USDC and HYPE/TRY.
- The exchange applied its Seed Tag to HYPE, which requires eligible traders to complete a risk-awareness quiz every 90 days and displays a warning that the token may be more volatile.
- Users could deposit HYPE shortly after the listing, withdrawals were scheduled for Sept. 25 at 11:00 UTC, and Binance set the listing fee at zero BNB.
- Binance enabled Spot Algo Orders at launch and said Trading Bots and Spot Copy Trading would follow within 24 hours, while access is blocked for U.S. residents and the TRY pair is limited to verified Binance TR accounts.
- On-chain trackers show Hyperliquid with very large activity — CoinGecko placed HYPE near a $21 billion market cap and ~$1.1 billion daily volume on Sept. 24, and DeFiLlama ranked Hyperliquid first by normalized perp DEX volume with about $9 billion in open interest — a growth backdrop that may boost centralized liquidity but also raise volatility for ordinary traders.
