Overview

  • The 155-track collection went live on Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal and other services hours after the documentary’s finale, with corresponding videos on YouTube.
  • It spans 115 songs and 40 additional audio clips that trace Joel’s five-decade journey from The Lost Souls and The Hassles to his 2024 Madison Square Garden residency.
  • The set features previously unreleased demos and live recordings, including the first live rendition of “Scenes From an Italian Restaurant” recorded at Long Island’s C.W. Post College in 1977.
  • Creative director Steve Cohen, engineer Bradshaw Leigh and archivist John Jackson produced the musical companion, drawing on HBO’s extensive documentary access.
  • Joel archivist John Jackson says more unreleased tracks from both the artist’s personal vault and Sony’s archives will be released in the coming years.
