• HBO will air part one of “Billy Joel: And So It Goes” on July 18 and part two on July 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on both HBO and HBO Max.
• Joel missed the June 4 Tribeca Festival premiere and canceled upcoming concerts after being diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus.
• Directors Susan Lacy and Jessica Levin report that Joel is undergoing physical therapy and is expected to make a full recovery.
• The nearly five-hour two-part film features exclusive interviews with Joel, his ex-wives, daughter and fellow musicians including Bruce Springsteen, Sting and Paul McCartney.
• Joel returned to original rock songwriting in February 2024 with his ballad “Turn the Lights Back On,” his first in over a decade.
