Bills Hold First Practice at New Highmark Stadium
The team is treating the Blue & Red session as a controlled trial to evaluate sight lines, communication, wind and lighting effects so staff can refine game-day operations.
Overview
- The Bills conducted their final training-camp practice at St. John Fisher on Friday before moving operations to Highmark Stadium for the Blue & Red practice on Saturday, Aug. 8.
- Head coach Joe Brady described the night-timed session as a deliberate trial run to learn booth and sideline vantage points, play-clock placement and sideline communications.
- Players will report for a morning walkthrough and return for a 7 p.m. practice to simulate game conditions and force staff to work through traffic and entry procedures.
- Strong fan demand prompted the team to add a second public practice the following week while the preseason opener versus the Carolina Panthers remains scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 15 at 1 p.m. at Highmark.
- The club is managing parking, shuttle service and security rules with Nazareth University as the public parking site and a $1 shuttle to camp, and the American Heart Association and UR Medicine are teaching hands-only CPR at camp following Damar Hamlin’s advocacy.
