- Officers Samuel Hawkes and Matthew Irwin found eight packages on Nov. 25 behind Towne Plaza at 700 Boston Road and delivered them to the listed Billerica addresses.
- Officer Thomas Huff discovered another eight packages on Dec. 2 near the 129 Plaza on Salem Road and confirmed the sealed boxes were intact before delivering them.
- Police notified Amazon after both recoveries and say they are working with the company’s security team to determine how the parcels ended up in the roadway.
- Amazon confirmed it is cooperating with Billerica police on the matter and declined to provide additional comment.
