Bill McGovern, Ex-UCLA Defensive Coordinator, Dies at Age 60

Bill McGovern, a longtime college football and NFL assistant coach, died at 60 after battling cancer.
Most recently, McGovern served as UCLA's defensive coordinator before moving into an off-the-field role due to health issues.
McGovern coached at several schools, including UCLA, Nebraska and Boston College, and in the NFL with the Bears, Giants and Eagles.
McGovern is survived by his wife Colleen and three daughters, Amanda, Delainey and Mackenzie.
McGovern is on the ballot for the College Football Hall of Fame for his accomplishments as a player at Holy Cross and coach.
