Bill Hader to Voice 'Cat in the Hat' in New Animated Film

Scheduled for a 2026 release, the project kicks off a series of animated Dr. Seuss adaptations by Warner Bros. Pictures Animation.

Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Dr. Seuss Enterprises announce a new animated 'The Cat in the Hat' movie, set for release on March 6, 2026.
Bill Hader is cast as the voice of the titular character, leading a star-studded voice cast including Quinta Brunson, Bowen Yang, Xochitl Gomez, Matt Berry, and Paula Pell.
The movie will be directed by Alessandro Carloni and Erica Rivinoja, who bring extensive experience from previous animated projects.
The film aims to spread joy to kids adjusting to new environments, continuing the whimsical tradition of Dr. Seuss.
This project marks the beginning of a slate of animated Dr. Seuss projects from Warner Bros. Pictures Animation, building an extensive universe around the classic children’s books.
