Bill Ackman to Launch Activist Organization Against Antisemitism and for Higher Education Reform

The hedge fund billionaire plans to aggressively tackle antisemitism and issues in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts in higher education, following criticism of elite universities' responses.

Bill Ackman, CEO of Pershing Square Capital Management, is setting up an activist organization to tackle antisemitism and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) efforts in higher education.
The organization, described as a 'think-and-do tank', will study these issues, develop solutions, and implement them.
Ackman has been a vocal critic of elite universities' responses to on-campus antisemitism, particularly in the wake of Hamas’ Oct. 7 attacks in Israel.
He has also expressed concerns about the governance of higher education institutions, specifically Harvard University, where the president resigned following accusations of plagiarism and criticism of her handling of antisemitism.
Ackman plans to hire a CEO and assemble a board of directors for the new organization, and intends to address these issues aggressively.
