- PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto opened a new IUH building as part of a Rs72 billion project projected to finish in about three years and to become the country’s largest free hospital.
- Organisers announced an initial admission capacity of 1,350 patients for the portion now constructed.
- Upon full completion, the facility is intended to offer comprehensive, free-of-charge services across multiple specialties and to benefit millions annually, according to Bilawal.
- The initiative is being delivered with provincial government support alongside donors and the Indus Hospital and Health Network.
