• Rescuers pulled the pillion rider from the water after the motorcycle went off Dhruvtara Jetty in Belapur early Saturday.
• Coastal security personnel recovered the rider’s body in the afternoon about 300 metres from the spot, according to investigating officers.
• The deceased was identified as 23-year-old Atharva Shelke, and the rescued pillion as 23-year-old Shreyas Ashok Jhong, police said.
