Bike-Taxi Rider Held in Shooting Outside Elvish Yadav’s Gurugram Home

Delhi Police arrest two sharpshooters linked to the attack outside YouTuber Elvish Yadav’s Gurugram home.

Overview

  • Jatin, 24, a Rapido rider from Faridabad, was arrested on Saturday for allegedly planning the attack and providing the motorcycle used by the assailants.
  • He was produced in court and sent to 14-day judicial custody as investigators recovered the motorcycle linked to the crime.
  • Earlier, police arrested 19-year-old Ishant alias Ishu Gandhi after an encounter in Faridabad in which he allegedly fired at officers; an illegal pistol was seized.
  • The August 17 attack involved three masked men who fired more than a dozen rounds outside Yadav’s Sector 57 residence at around 5:30 a.m., and no injuries were reported.
  • Gurugram Police have registered an FIR including attempt to murder and Arms Act charges, are reviewing CCTV and forensic evidence, and continue to search for additional suspects while probing the claimed motive.
