Overview
- Chief Minister Nitish Kumar ordered all departments, divisional commissioners, district magistrates and police headquarters offices to submit vacancy requisitions to the General Administration Department by December 31, 2025.
- The General Administration Department will scrutinise the requisitions and forward them to the relevant appointment commissions for action.
- All recruitment commissions and selection agencies must publish a full 2026 hiring calendar in January, specifying advertisement dates, exam windows and final result timelines.
- Recruitments are capped at one year from the first advertisement to the final result, regardless of how many exam stages are involved.
- Exams will be conducted via transparent Computer Based Tests with more centres, and any irregularities will face swift prosecution through fast-track courts as the state pursues its 2025–30 target of 1 crore jobs.
