Overview

• State officials estimate that 1.76 million people in 1,144 villages across 10 districts are affected by the floods.
• Rivers including the Ganga, Kosi, Bagmati, Burhi Gandak, Punpun and Ghaghara have risen above danger marks after recent downpours and inflows from Nepal catchments.
